Monica Pleasant has 20+ years of experience in all functional disciplines of human resources.  She joined Medtronic in February 2021 as Director of Human Resources for the Neurovascular operations which is based in Irvine, CA. Previously, she worked at Edwards Lifesciences for 12+ years in various HR leadership roles.  Prior to Edwards, she worked at the Los Angeles Times Newspaper and was responsible for HR at the Southern California plants where the newspaper is printed. 

Monica earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Loyola Marymount University.  She also obtained a certification in Human Resources Management from Loyola Marymount University.  In addition, she earned a Green Belt certification and is known for her continuous improvement perspective. 

Monica serves on the Board of Directors of NHRA Orange County.  Currently, she serves as President-Elect and Membership Chair leading membership engagement initiatives for the local HR community.
