Scott Hamilton 

President & CEO, Executive Next Practices Institute and Managing Director, Nextworks Strategy

Scott Hamilton is a well-known thought leader & speaker in the field of “next practices” improvement of executive and workforce performance for emerging companies up to the global “Fortune 5000”. With a multi-functional experience as both an internal corporate executive and external trusted advisor, Scott has helped leaders and organizations be more effective in how they strategize and perform.

Scott’s industry exposure has been both broad and deep. He has held key marketing, strategy, human resources, and organization development executive roles for such companies as McDonald’s, Nestle, Bergen Brunswig, Honeywell, ARAMARK Distribution and DirecTV. Scott has also founded several businesses and built top advisory practices that have coached hundreds of C-level leaders through strategic planning, large-scale change efforts, teambuilding, merger, and acquisition/integration activity teams, and developed in-house executive development programs.

Hamilton is CEO of the Executive Next Practices Institute, a large C-suite mastermind organization that is based at UCI Beall Applied Innovation at the University of California Irvine and also the Managing Director of NextWORKS Strategy, a premier provider of virtual strategy development, alignment, talent management, board effectiveness and executive performance programs to middle-market companies. Both entities have been recognized by Forbes and the Orange County Business Journal as leaders in fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic transformation.

He is a frequent keynoter and panelist to CEO groups, trade associations, private company functions and global conferences. Hamilton serves on the board & ELT of several organizations, including CapStackWest, Global Business Association & the American Heart Association.

Mark Wilbur, President & CEO at Everything HR

He also instructs courses when desired, most recently as the lead instructor for Japan’s first-ever Executive HR Certification Program. Mark was the Associate Dean of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, leading many efforts from external affairs, corporate development and executive education, which included customized solutions for companies with programs managed across the US, Japan and China. Mark was also a Partner in Business Consulting at Andersen.  Mark earned his BA and MBA from the University of Southern California.

 

Kiki Stannard, Partner, Fitzgerald and Law

Kiki Stannard is Partner at F&L, providing support to business expanding into the UK and beyond with tax, HR, payroll, employee benefits, accounting and company secretarial services. Stannard leads the West Coast office with a focus on client relationships, business development, HR management, employment taxes and global payroll.

Prior to F&L, Kiki worked at RSM Tenon, Smith & Williamson, E&Y and Price Waterhouse

Monica Lloyd, Manager PreSales, Acsentis Human Capital Management

Monica Lloyd has 20 years of experience in all facets of human resources and business operations. As Manager, PreSales at Acsentis Human Capital Management, she provides customized product demonstrations and solution selling for the entire Ascentis HCM product suite: client needs analysis, competitive market positioning, and sales team support, strategy planning, analyzing prospect requirements and delivering highly targeted product demonstrations. Prior to Acsentis, Monica worked at Zephyr Development Group, HRMS, Trumpet Behavioral Health, Quark Pharmaceuticals, Resolution Consulting, Centura Healthcare, HealthOne and On Assignment.

Monica has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.

 

Karen Smith, VP People & Culture, Omniome Inc.

Karen Smith is a progressive Human Resources Leader with over twenty years demonstrated experience aligning HR strategy with business objectives and participating in enterprise management to create shareholder value. She is currently, VP People & Culture at Omniome Inc., a company focused on creating innovative DNA sequencing technology with the potential to advance cancer diagnostics and broadly enable clinical sequencing. Prior to Omniome, Karen worked at Verve, LPL Financial, Encore Capital Group, Telesphere, MicroBlend Inc., Heraeus Inc. and Intesys Technologies.

Karen has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.

 

Susan Howington, CEO, Author, Presenter, Media Personality

Susan Howington is the CEO and Founder of the outplacement and Executive Coaching firm called Power Connections Career Services, Inc.  She is a sought-after expert in the career transition field. Her life-long goal is to help professionals of all levels manage and advance their careers through career enjoyment and fulfillment, which, ultimately, leads to their success.

Susan was profiled by OC Metro Magazine as one of 15 Orange County Women Who Inspire Others. She has appeared in many national and regional media outlets that include the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal. She is the author of the book on Amazon.com called How Smart People Sabotage Their Job Search: 10 Mistakes Executives Make and How to Fix Them.” She has had the pleasure of being a regular guest on a variety of TV and radio shows and is the former host of the Spectrum Cable TV show called Eye on Business.

For many years Susan was the Co-Chair of the Orange County National Human Resources Association Executive of the Year Award Initiative.  Susan is currently a founding Board Member of the Orange County and San Diego chapters DisruptHR and she is a member of SHRM.

 

Angelica Gamble-Wong, Vice President of People, Culture and Experience at Harrah’s Resort Southern California for Caesars Entertainment.

Throughout her human resources career, Angelica has led the human resources function in startup, fast growth and turnaround environments.  Her experience has spanned a variety of industries including manufacturing, production, finance, hospitality, and life sciences. She is currently serving as the Vice President of People, Culture and Experience at Harrah’s Resort Southern California for Caesars Entertainment.  Angelica earned her bachelor’s degree in social ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated cum laude. She received her MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Pursuing her passion for development of the next generation of HR professionals, she is also an Adjunct Instructor for the UC San Diego Extension Program and serves as the Board President for the San Diego HR Forum. She has spoken on topics such as the importance and benefits of strategic human resources as a competitive advantage and is known for her business-oriented and fun approach.  Angelica has been published on various topics including responding to the economy’s impact on learning and development resources and developing HR business strategies which evolve and adapt to new business environments.  In 2017, her team was awarded Ceridian’s Astounding Transformation Award for their work implementing a complete Human Capital Management platform. In that same year, she was awarded San Diego HR Forum’s San Diego HR Executive of the Year Award, and her team was awarded HR Team of the Year in 2019.

Ewing Gillaspy, Sr. Managing Consultant, Talent & HR Transformation, IBM

Ewing Gillaspy is the Sr. Managing Consultant, Talent & HR Transformation at IBM.  Prior to IBM, he worked in Recruiting and Talent Acquisition at SmartRecruiters, Symphony Talent, and Cummins Inc. Ewing has a BBA from University of Mississippi School of Business and an MBA from Purdue University, Krannert School of Management.

 

Deena C. Brown, PhD, Founder, Leadhershift Movement, Speaker, Author, Entrepreneur

Deena C. Brown, PhD is a certified John Maxwell speaker, teacher, and DISC behavioral

consultant with a purpose and passion for helping individuals, leaders, and organizations

connect the dots between their core values and transformative leadership for the 21st century

and beyond.

She has been working in the areas of Organizational Development, Executive Coaching,

Organizational Change & Transformation and Leadership Development for over 20 years.  Dr.

Brown knows first-hand how mindfulness and leadership are keys to business effectiveness and

growth. Her skills were honed through over two decades as an educator and school

administrator with the Department of Defense. Moreover, her passion for international travel and

global relations have created the framework for her extensive work throughout the world creating

and developing leaders and high-performance teams.

Dr. Brown adds value to others speaking on her powerful message of diverse and inclusive

practices to spark innovation. After identifying a significant deficit of women in key leadership

roles Dr. Brown founded The Leadhershift Movement®. The Leadhershift Movement was

founded to help female executives shift the way they think to elevate the way they LEARN,

EXPERIENCE, APPLY, and DEVELOP (L.E.A.D).

Dr. Brown serves as the career services senior associate director for MBA for Executives at the

Paul Merage School of Business, sits on the Advisory Board for Executives Next Practices

(ENP), and is highly sought-after diversity, inclusion, and career strategist.

Dr. Brown is the host of Walking Through Glass: The Podcast, co-hosts a weekly talk show

“Interludes” on Srishti TV and is an internationally best-selling author. She is currently

researching the intersectionality of imposter syndrome with race, class, and trauma amongst

African American women and other minority ethnic groups.

Dr. Brown holds a PhD from the University of Southern Mississippi in Educational Leadership

and Research, MA in Education from Old Dominion University, and a BA in Economics from
