A Group of Executive Level Panelists Discuss the Importance of Developing a Learning and Adapting Workforce
LOS ANGELES/ORANGE COUNTY (July 15, 2011) – The Executive Next Practices Forum (ENP), a unique mastermind-like group for C-level business executives to review new leadership and business strategies, will host two upcoming sessions for Los Angeles- and Orange County-area attendees. “Learning – Innovation – Growth Link” will be held on August 3 in Los Angeles at the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business, and on August 4 at the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business, Irvine campus. Both events will begin at 7:30 a.m.
“Staying competitive in today’s marketplace is growing increasingly complex with the integration of new technologies, expanding legislation and the escalating velocity of change,” says Scott Hamilton, Executive Next Practices Institute president and co-founder of Allign. “Today, more than ever, executives need to develop true learning teams. In this session, CEOs and talent development directors from major local companies will be on hand to share their next practices in leading dynamic workforces in a turbulent marketplace.”
The ENP will host key leaders from Kinecta, Experian, Time Warner, Bank of America and others to share their insights about using new training techniques. Dr. Mark Allen, a practitioner faculty of the Pepperdine Organization Theory and Management, and editor and co-author of The Next Generation of Corporate Universities and The Corporate University Handbook will serve as the session’s keynote thought leader and moderator.
Southern California business leaders who attend the “Learning – Innovation – Growth Link” presentation will analyze their current strategy and learn the risks of neglecting to implement targeted learning initiatives. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about the strategy-learning link through specific case studies from companies such as Farmers Insurance, Kinecta and Mimi’s Café.
ENP gives its members a unique experience by implementing a highly-collaborative session format with top-level speakers on inventive topics in strategic and relevant business practices. Rather than a one-time session, association meeting or “fly-by” networking experience, ENP offers its members and guests a safe haven for honest and revealing discussion around emerging trends and “next practice” opportunities.
Over the course of a year, a full arc of strategic topics are covered so that ENP attendees–who comprise of a unique mix of the entire executive suite and its key advisors (HR, CFO, CMO, COO)–can look holistically at issues, gauge their personal impact, and examine relevant leadership applications. The ENP approach is aligned with the goals of its members. Its non-solicitation environment promotes long-term relationship-building and powerful connections amongst business leaders.
