Richard Munro is a seasoned independent corporate director having served on twenty one (21) public, private equity owned, privately owned, multinational subsidiary boards and not for profit boards over the past thirty seven (37) years. He currently serves as Chairman of the NACD Pacific Southwest Chapter, Inc., as Chairman of Corporate Directors Roundtable Orange County, Inc., as Chairman of Corporate Contractors, Inc., as a director of the California Receiver’s Forum, Inc., and as Chief Executive Officer of Invenz Inc., an advisory and consulting firm providing specialized corporate performance improvement services, restructuring and turnaround services, and fiduciary services when appointed by State and Federal Courts. He recently served as an independent director of UST LLC, a private equity-owned leading manufacturer of nutritional supplements, for nine (9) years.
Previously in his career, Richard was an international CEO and CFO, and consultant, with extensive experience in international business around the Pacific Rim, and in corporate restructuring and turnarounds, business performance improvement, and fiduciary appointments by Courts as a Receiver and Provisional Director.
Richard is currently Directorship Certified © by NACD; and is a NACD Board Leadership Fellow. He has produced corporate director education programs for two major organizations for eighteen (18) years on topics which directors need to know to stay abreast of their duties.
He holds an MBA from Auckland University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Canterbury.
Richard is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of New Zealand and Australia which qualifies him as a SEC financial expert, he has prior audit committee chair experience and nominating governance committee experience, and holds a California Real Estate Broker License (BRE: 01900072).
